Anna Yao is a successful mother of three and homemaker. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she served as bookkeeper for the Tippecanoe County Area Plan Commission for many years. She is a proud grandmother of Kristiana Lee Yao and the wife of Professor Jim Yao, the holder of the Lohman Professorship at Texas A&M University.

Her eldest daughter, Tina Yao, is Art Director of Sea Grant at the University of Wisconsin. Her son, Tim Yao, is a Member of the Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies. Her youngest daughter, Shana Yao, is Marketing Director at Trizecahn Corporation in Los Angeles.

Anna's interests include cooking, needlepoint, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, writing, music and dancing. She enjoys off-broadway musicals, good movies and playing with Kristiana.
